I escaped the tower at 31. I spent the next 30 years looking for a good nights sleep.
Now that I am retired I sleep whenever I feel like it.
But to sleep within a certain time frame and have to get up the next day and perform
was always difficult for me.
I spent my life wearing myself out with exersize and knocking myself out with beer.
You could try paxil, or celexia, I have taken those and they slow me down.
They slow my thoughts down and everything else.
I tried to quit about a week ago and my wife could tell right away.
I take 5 mg of melatonin before I go to bed every night also.

A Thread for Cyclists - Where Do you Ride?
by cofty ini took up cycing a couple of months ago just to get fitter and lose a bit of excess weight.. i bought a second-hand hybrid bike (weighs only slightly less than a truck) and fitted road tyres.
four or five times a week i will go for a ride after work for an hour or so.
i am fortunate enough to live in rural north england surrounded by limitless quiet roads.

Evidence of Ocean of Water in or under Earth's Mantle.... Will people now state this to be proof of the Noah Account?
by adjusted knowledge in"the transition zone can hold a lot of water, and could potentially have the same amount of h2o [water] as all the world's ocean.".

i figured when people read this that there will be those claiming proof of the flood story.

I understand what your saying problemaddict.
It is a hard story for me to let go of.
It goes back to the begining of history in Sumer.
In the epic of zuisdra.
And alien intevention in seeding earth.
Not only do I have to let go of the bible but I have to let go of recorded history to dismiss it.

God destroys mankind in the flood and in his wisdom keeps "Satan" and imperfect Noah and his family to populate the earth with the same crappy, wicked people. What did he accomplish?
It's been proven a was a local flood and in the eyes of those living back then, not having CNN and MSNBC it would definetely be global.
SSPO
To me that is a much better reason to not believe in the flood.
That is something I can understand and explain.

When I was a Sheriff. We always had our badges in our wallets.
They make a wallet with your badge in it.
I don't think he was a sheriff.
Maybe a wannabe.
If you say your a sheriff and don't have a badge you are
immatating a law officer.
You go to jail for that.

I also hope somebody will finally calculate how much water was needed to fill up the Earth till the Mount Everest
I have lots of problems with the bible. But the flood is not one of them.
People who defend the flood say the earths topography was changed by it.
So Mount Everest was not there.
Atheistic evolutionsit believe at some point the earths plates shifted.
They believe at one time the land masses were connected.
Maybe the flood did that.
As far as the kangaroos, Why could they have not evolved to be kangaroos in the time
since the flood until today. Look at all the different kinds of dogs that have evolved from wolves
in the past 500 years.

Has anyone ever saved another persons life?
by LogCon ini don't mean you advised them and they changed their lives around, kind of saving a life.. i mean right before your eyes, right now, you had to do something to save a person or they would be dead.. how did it make you feel?
did it have any affect on you?.
forty years ago i was working on a construction site and a back-hoe had loosened a large boulder.

When I worked at the county jail. I was in a cell with 30 inmates by myself.
There were multiple incidents codes thru out the facility.
8 inmates decided to attack one.
I called a code blue on my radio and started throwing the attacking inmates out of the cell
as fast as I could thorw them out others would come back in.
Finally back up arrived. The attacked inmate was very grateful to me.
And I got a good reputation among all the inmates.
More times than I can count, I saved inmates who were trying to hang/ strangle themselves.
I would call a code/ back up and go in the cell and remove the linen from around their neck.
Sometimes I would hold the body up, relieving the weight from around their neck and someone
else would cut them down.
Last summer I walked into a music store and was asked if I knew first aid/cpr.
I said I did. I went back to a teaching room and found a music teacher unconcious sitting
in his chair. I couldnt find a pulse, I laid him on the ground and instructed his coworkers how to
compress his chest, while another gave him breaths.
He lived for 3 days after that.
I think he was dead when I got to him.
I took inmates to the hospital who tried to poison themselves. There was not a lot I could do about that except
to be there and supervise them.
One time I was riding down the highway and I saw a van go off the road and hit a telephone pole.
I stopped and the driver was not in the van. I looked for a while and found the driver down a ways on the side
of the road. In shock. He went through the window. I got a blanket and put it under his legs to raise them.
Others had stopped by this time and called 911.
He was alive and convulsing when I found him but he died sometime latter.

I'm afraid I'd be single for life
by ohnightdivine inthis is quite embarrassing for me to share, but as a 30+ year old single female i have lingering doubts as to whether i can still meet a decent man and get married.. you all know how difficult it is for sisters to find an appropriate partner in the congregation.. and now, all the more so that i've learned ttatt.
i still am bound by low self-esteem, and i do have trust issues, especially with men.
i am very lonely and so i just keep myself busy with work to avoid depression (although it is also a great source of stress).. any other single females out there having similar thoughts?.

I am a male. I have been married since I was 18. It has been wonderful.
Having said that. If you have made it to 30 without getting married.
It probably is not that important to you.
So I wouldn't worry about it.
Just live your life, if it happens it happens.
But if you want to be proactive and do something about it.

I went to a worl cup tune up friendly game here in St. Pete Florida.
Japan vs Zambia.
Japan beat Zambia. But it wasnt easy Zambia was ahead most of the game.
They seemed the better team most of the time.
I will root for Germany.
